If you ever visited or are about to visit Lisbon you´ve probably already heard about Alfama. Alfama is oldest and one of the most typical Lisbon neighbourhoods.

Nowadays, Alfama is crowded with tourists, mixed with locals … you can hear fado singing from houses, it’s colourful and loud … BUT … in my opinion that’s something that comes out on a first sight. When you start wondering, get lost in its alleys, you start to feel some kind of melancholic peace … pastel tones and old walls comes to your sight.
I love to visit from time to time, run away from crowd and wonder around and that’s what I did last week. I tried to capture that other face of Alfama, one that you can’t get immediately but have to search for …
